Expansion of employment opportunities for women from particularly vulnerable groups exposed to stigma in Russia and other BRICS countries

Project: “Expanding employment opportunities for women from particularly vulnerable groups exposed to stigma in Russia and other BRICS countries”.

Tasks:

Collect best practices to ensure employment of women from particularly vulnerable groups exposed to stigmatization (drug addicts, sex workers, women released from prison, HIV-positive) in Russia and other G20 countries.

Conducting a round table with the involvement of representatives of the Ministry of Health, Federal Penitentiary Service, Federal Drug Control Service, NGOs, businesses.

Creation and promotion of a resolution on expanding employment opportunities for women from especially vulnerable groups of the population who are subject to stigmatization.

Project implementation period: November 2015 – March 2016.

During the four months of the project, the existing measures for the employment of stigmatized women from particularly vulnerable groups were assessed. In addition, possible solutions to the problems of such women in the context of Russia were discussed. The project resulted in recommendations and promotion opportunities.
