NP “E.V.A.” and the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPCru) have developed a questionnaire for parents and guardians of HIV-positive children who received antiretroviral drugs in 2014.

The data that we collect will help us understand the situation with pediatric drugs for HIV treatment. On the basis of received responses, we shall take measures for creation of most convenient conditions for parents and guardians of HIV-positive children and also the children themselves to receive drugs.

Filling out the questionnaire will take no more than 5 minutes. To complete it, please follow this link:

Natalia Ladnaya, Senior Research Fellow of the Federal Research and Methodological Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS, Institute for Epidemiology at Rospotrebnazdor:

“During the years of the HIV epidemic in Russia, HIV-infected women gave birth to 112,000 children. Of the 112,000 children born to HIV-infected mothers, only 6,000 have been infected with the virus.

The number of births by HIV-infected women is growing. Some of them give birth to 3rd and 4th children. Twins and triplets are being born; a case has been registered of an HIV-infected woman who gave birth to quadruplets. We expect that the country will have more than 15 thousand births by HIV-infected women in 2014.

Every year we identify 135 new cases of HIV infection among every 100,000 tested women. 40% of women learn of their HIV-positive status during pregnancy. Fortunately, we are one of the most successful countries in the sphere of prevention of HIV transmission from mother to child”. (Source: RIA “AMI”).
